Will rules and loss checklist

Install plugin

FinalPeace helps families write a will, power of attorney and healthcare directive, and keep them in one place. This plugin gives ChatGPT three tools anyone can use without an account. State document requirements. For any of the 50 states, it looks up what it takes to sign a will, a financial power of attorney, a health care proxy or a living will: how many witnesses, whether a notary is needed, who can't serve as a witness, and whether the state publishes an official form. Every answer shows the date it was last checked and the source it was checked against. After-a-loss checklist. The practical list of what needs doing after someone dies, grouped by when it matters: the first 24 to 48 hours, the first week, the first month, and ongoing. Planning check. Tell it what you already have, such as a will, a healthcare agent or a power of attorney, and it ranks what's missing by what would go wrong without it. Anything you haven't answered comes back as a question. If you already have a FinalPeace account, a fourth tool explains how to connect it. FinalPeace is not a law firm and doesn't give legal advice. State rules change, so check the date on each answer and confirm anything important with your state or a lawyer.
